Just like any other Indian girl, I have always been in love with traditional Indian jewellery. Right from jhumkas to kundan earings, I just love our bling. However, most of us have always faced this challenge of too many Indian jewellery and too less Indian outfits.
Since fashion does not have any constant rule, when done right, the mix of western wear with ethnic accessories can look amazing. This solves the problem of only wearing Indian baubles with Indian clothes, which a lot of you do only during festivals and family functions.
Check out 3 easy styles which you can create with all that ethnic pieces of jewellery in you wardrobe:
- The Bangle Affair :
Adding some glam to a monochrome outfit with these colourful bangles. Too much is never too good. Therefore, two to four pieces of bangles can keep the look structured and stylish.
2. Layering it the right way:
Wear your silver jewellery as a stack of necklaces. Ensure that you are wearing it with a plain dress, so that the focus remains on the styling that you have done. This combination is easy can be an everyday style.
3. Jhumkas to your rescue:
Add a nice pair of jhumkas or chand baalis to a regular toned down outfit. Sometimes, western wear with slight Indian motifts also work very well with this look. Tone down the colours. Else the look can be very overpowering.
So go ahead, mix and match trends. It is always fun to experiment. Remember, style has no boundaries, as long as you don’t overdo it.
